WELCOME TO OUR NEW WEBSITE AND HEAD TEACHER’S BLOG
After many months of planning, I am delighted to announce the launch of our new website whilst acknowledging Mr McDowall’s hard work in bringing it to fruition.
We wanted a new website to better communicate and share what goes on in our school with parents, pupils and partners in our community. We hope the fresh new look to the website and the improved navigation will allow you to find information you need more quickly and easily.
I am particularly pleased to contribute my first Blog and hope over the coming months and years; this blog will contribute to the story of our school.
Spring time and Exam Season
Staff and pupils have now returned from the Easter break. The weather during the break was very pleasant, but I am delighted to report it didn’t stop a large number of senior pupils attending the Easter Revision Programme, infact over 100 attended. There was a good mixture of pupils revising for National 5 and Higher exams. Staff commitment and pupils responsible attitude proved to be an excellent recipe for success as the comments from pupils show.
“Good to have support with past paper questions and have solutions explained”
Of course Parents will be keen to support their child with learning and revision, so I would like to draw your attention to the following general guide called pointers for parents , which contains links to key SQA and Education Scotland information.
Another useful resource are the National 5: Revision in a Nutshell
These Revision in a Nutshell National 5 subject guides supplement learning and revision in class. The list covers 20 subjects which have exams and for which the SQA has provided relevant past paper questions. If your child is not using them, it is worth drawing them to their attention.
